[HIGH FIVE] We gave a High Five to Brooke Wyman (@_b.wyman_) and Kat Wyman (@_katwyman_), owners and coaches at SoulFire Collective Yoga.
Kat Wyman (IG: _katwyman_) and Brooke Wyman (IG: @_b.wyman_)
WellcommDC: Where do you work…out?
Brooke Wyman: SoulFire Collective, BASH, and CUT SEVEN.
Kat Wyman: Urban Boxing, trail running, BASH, CUT SEVEN, and Barry's.
WDC: What does “wellness” mean to you?
BW: Connecting mind, body, and spirit practices to feel energized and at home in my body.
KW: Full alignment mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
WDC: What are your wellness goals over the next twelve months?
BW: To stay committed to my morning devotion: reading, meditation, and breathwork, all done before opening my phone. Daily movement. Choose nourishing foods and hydration.
KW: I'm committed to more balance, compassion, and presence in my life, and to attack life with a delusional sense of self-belief. I love to challenge myself in different fitness arenas. A few years ago, I ran 100 miles, and Brooke was on my crew. Last year, I fought in Haymakers for Hope, and this year I'm climbing Mt. Rainer in July.
WDC: Who are some people who inspire you, motivate you, or keep you accountable when it comes to your wellness?
BW: Kat Wyman and all the incredible humans at SoulFire.
KW: My wife, Brooke: she's the most compassionate and present person I know. Our teams at SoulFire. Beyond our space, the women's sports world has been a huge inspiration for me. It feels like we're undergoing a revolution, and it holds me accountable to also be a strong female leader.
WDC: What advice would you share with someone looking to change their wellness routine?
BW: Approach it from the lens of self-love, and meet yourself with love, compassion, and grace. Honor and understand that doing your best varies from day to day. Sometimes your best is a full intense workout, and sometimes your best is slow, peaceful walking and sitting outside.
KW: I couldn't say it any better than Brooke.
