[HIGH FIVE] We gave a High Five to Brie Dessaure (@iambriedessaure), a head trainer at F45 Training, a coach at CUT SEVEN and works with private clients through her company, 3B Fitness.
WellcommDC: Where do you work…out?
Brie Dessaure: I work for F45 Clarendon and F45 Penrose locations as the Head Trainer and as a coach at CUT SEVEN. I also train private clients through my own company called 3B Fitness. When I’m not coaching, I’m sweating it out at F45, under the red lights at CUT SEVEN, getting in a heavy lift at my apartment gym, or enjoying a long scenic run around DC!
WDC: What does wellness mean to you?
BD: Wellness, to me, is about feeling your best mentally and physically and moving with intention in all aspects of your life. It also means staying honest and true to yourself. There are many ways to achieve this, and I strongly believe in doing what feels best for you—both physically and mentally—whatever those things may be. When you remain true to yourself, I believe you can live your most fulfilled life.
WDC: What are your wellness goals over the next twelve months?
BD: My wellness goals over the next year are to continue showing up for myself as I do for others. I love supporting the people in my community, but sometimes I forget to pour back into my own cup. I’ve learned the hard way that unless you’re filling your own cup fully, you won’t be able to keep showing up for the people you care about!
WDC: Who are some people who inspire you, motivate you, or keep you accountable when it comes to your wellness?
BD: Whew, there are a few people! First is my boyfriend, Jonathan. He’s a test pilot in the Navy and always pushes me to be the best I can be—even when I’m exhausted and just want to hibernate for a few days. He understands the value of hard work and believes that putting in the effort now will pay off in the long run. Another inspiration is the OG, Clarence Stanfield (@clarence_stanfield), who has inspired me since I stepped into fitness full-time. He’s one of the most disciplined people I know, always holding those around him accountable and motivating his community, both in and outside of fitness. A few others who inspire me daily are Sara Aylin (@sara_aylin), Chloe Cale (@chloebellecale), and Danae Burgwin (@dbfitness__), who owns her own gym in Pittsburgh called DB Performance.
WDC: What advice would you share with someone looking to change their wellness routine?
BD: First, start small by focusing on one or two things and stay consistent—don’t cheat yourself. Second, surround yourself with people who hold you accountable and help you work toward your goals. Choose people who make you a better person, both physically and mentally, and who constantly remind you that you can do the hard things you want to accomplish in life.

[REVIEW] We joined Annie Chiang (@chiangbang92) for a heart-pumping Yoga Sculpt class at CorePower Yoga City Center, all to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts in North Carolina. The studio was packed and steamy, with Annie’s Southern-inspired playlist serving up Eric Church, Taylor Swift, and Florida Georgia Line vibes. There’s something pretty magical about sweating it out while the rest of DC wakes up around you. [Flow, Give, Recover]
